East Bay Branch Changes Include New San Ramon Location

We have some long held plans to expand our ability to serve members throughout the East Bay. As part of these plans we are realigning our branch network at the end of 2008.

San Ramon Community Branch Opening

If you live in San Ramon or have friends or relatives there, help us spread the news: Provident is opening a brand new community branch in January to serve our growing membership.

This state-of-the-art branch is designed to provide quality member service in a spacious and welcoming setting. A coffee bar and comfortable waiting area will be featured, along with an internet banking station. Quiet meeting areas will provide privacy for discussing personal financial matters and our professional staff will be on hand to assist members with every Provident product and service. Members will also find plenty of free parking and a 24-hour onsite ATM.

The new branch is conveniently located at 11030 Bollinger Canyon Road, Suite 190 in the Gale Ranch Plaza and will be open for business beginning Monday, January 5th. Spread the word and if you're in the area, stop by and pay us a visit!

Oakland Downtown Community Branch Closing

At 12 noon on December 31, 2008, the Provident Credit Union Oakland Downtown Community Branch located at 1000 Broadway, will close. The ATM at the Oakland Downtown Community Branch will remain in place indefinitely, but will be removed no later than October 31, 2009. Oakland is the only East Bay city where Provident operates more than one location. The purpose of the branch realignment is to better use credit union resources to serve members in the East Bay.

As an alternative, we suggest our Oakland Airport Community Branch at 8301 Edgewater Drive. Branch hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There are also a number of CU Service Centers in the downtown Oakland area where members can access Provident accounts and receive regular teller services and more. As a Provident member, you also have access to 18 Provident branches and more than 25,000 no-fee, surcharge-free CO-OP Network ATMs throughout the country.
